ØVRE-ÅL RESORT, long tour/ return blues - Friday and Saturday

Are you ready for a full day on the pedals? Do you want to cycle more downhill than uphill during the day? Then this is something for you. The cycling takes place on trails in the cultural landscape on Øvre Ål and Hevjansåsen. If the weather is with us, we get to roll under the supervision of both Hallingskarvet and Reineskarvet most of the trip. The trip makes a turning point at Skurvehovda and we roll quickly below the tree line for lunch and a rest at Knut's cabin on Maristølen, where shuttling on Myking has previously taken place. After lunch, we tread a little gravel road up to Buhovda and head back to Øvre Ål resort and then hundreds of meters down to the festival area, where a cold beer awaits.

UPPER ÅL RESORT - short trip - Friday and Saturday

Prima round trip at Øvre Ål Resort (Primhovda) ending at Dengis Khan.

Do you want to go on a trip without spending all day on it? Then this trip is perfect. After bus transport to Primhovda cabin field, we cycle around and on Primhovda and Rosengardshovda. From the latter, it is downhill that applies with a delicious high mountain single track and eventually a hand-built and machine-built path before we roll into the festival area for a common included beer.

And

Transport : Bus

Starting point : Primhovda cabin field

End point : The festival area

Level : One of our easier trips

Time estimate : 2-2.5 hours

NB . Can also be cycled on your own: You get to the starting point by taking the minibus which only offers transport to the Primhovda cabin field and which runs about every 1.5 hours and costs NOK 50 at Vipps. Or you can cycle up / push a forest road which in the winter is the ski trail Turisten. You will find the start of the trip and the actual walking round trailguide.net - Primen.

ROSENGARDSHOVDA and DENGIS - Friday and Saturday

Fancy a slightly shorter trip, but with the best downhill cycling? Want to be shown where to cycle best near the festival area? Join here! On this trip you get two completely raw descents; Rosengardshovda and Dengis Khan. And that after just a little pushing up on Rosengardshovda. Then it's just down that counts. Afterwards we have an included beer in the festival area.

Fancy a slightly shorter trip, but with the best downhill cycling? Want to be shown where to cycle best near the festival area? On this trip you get three completely raw descents; Rosengardshovda, Dengis Khan and Ulshaganatten. Be prepared for a little gentle walking on a gravel road to get to and from Ulshaganatten - but it's so worth it. Ulshaganatten has received constant improvements - now with Ål's longest slide and a completely new section at the top. Afterwards we take an included beer together.

Fantastic singles track round in the high mountains, with rhythmic trail cycling and very fun descents. Everything can be cycled, but most people will push the short distances. A great way to end Huckfest 2020. If the weather is good, swimming in Tvillingtjernene is a bench.

HOLSÅSEN - Friday

A real gem in the neighboring municipality of Hol.

This is in theory a summit hike, but the slope of the trail means that the ascent also provides a lot of very good cycling. And if the weather is with us, the view is fantastic, with Hallingskavet on the left and Reineskarvet on the right. It goes without saying that on a path that you can cycle up, the descent is very good. After driving back to the camp, we take a joint afterbike with 1 included drink.

Starting point : Holsåsen

End point : Holsåsen

Level : Experience with trail cycling. We divide the group in two if there is a need for different tempos.

SANGEFJELL - Saturday

Lovely migration trails in the high mountain area Sangefjell.

From the front, high mountain biking in stunning terrain! Those who have cycled here, think it is one of the better areas if you have not cycled so much trail before. But at the same time very fun if you have cycled a lot.

We cycle from the open-air cathedral on Sangefjell to Sangenuten and back the same way.

After driving back to the camp, we take a joint afterbike with 1 included drink.

We cycle over the iconic mountain ridge Bleste, take a bath in Lya (weather permitting), stop by the stall Tormodset and be served lunch based on støl broom, before we cycle back over Bleste and end down the fun single track on Myset.

And

Transport : Bus to starting point

Starting point : Svarthamar

End point : The festival area

Level : You should have tried trail biking before, but this is one of our easier rides.
